Kate Collingwood is a landscape architect specialising in environmental impact assessment and historic landscape character assessment. In this book she looks at the parish of Great Comberton in Worcestershire; how the village and its surrounding landscape came to look as it does today, drawing on published landscape history research and original manuscripts from the archives. Kate Collingwood is a co-author of guidance for the English Heritage and the Highways Agency on how to evaluate historic landscapes and design roads affecting them, and worked for many years directing a large team of environmental specialists working on the design of the A303 tunnel under Stonehenge, aiming to reunite the stones with the surrounding landscape and the associated monuments which form its context.
