Opis

Partial differential equations involving a stochastic noise term play a key role in describing the influence of turbulence on the motion of fluids. Especially the statistical properties of the solutions of these equations are of interest in almost all applications of turbulence theory. This book focuses on the computation of the statistical properties of turbulence models. It includes a variety of approximation results for the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation and the stochastic hyperviscid Burgers equation.
