His object has been to give a clear and concise account of Bright's Disease, and, in doing so, to avoid all unnecessary details, and, as much as possible, all doubtful and disputed points of pathology. Theoretical questions have been referred to only so far as they appear to throw light upon the etiology, the pathology, the diagnosis, and the treatment of the various forms and stages of Bright's Disease. The doubtful and disputed questions relating to the minute anatomy and pathology of renal diseases have but little interest for the practitioner, and in these Lectures, Which were especially addressed to students, controversial.
