In i75o, he publifhed the firft fe parate edition of his Prefent State of Europe a work which had been originally begun in I746, in the Mufeum, a very valuable periodical performance, printed for Mr. Dodżey. There is no produétion of our author's that hath met with a better re ception. It has gone through fix editions, and fully hath it deferved this encouragement; for it is not eafy to find a book which, in fuch a moderate compafs, contains f0 much hiftorical and political information.
