He stated what he knew from rumor. Then there were called Mr. Rollins, Mr. Morton, and Mr. Millard from Omaha, a Government director of the Union Pacific road, and finally Thomas A. Scott. The testimony was completely and conclusively in disproof of the charge that there was any possibility that I could have had anything to do with the transaction.
