Join thirteen-year-old Annie as she and her parents move to Minnesota for her dad's new teaching job at a Lutheran college. Annie's mom homeschools her, and together they enjoy many fun historic tours and field trips to go along with her challenging curriculum. But it never seems to prevent the exciting and mysterious adventures she falls into. Annie soon learns that her dad's job allows her to become "a college student" in a new student pilot program at the college. She soon begins a class covering the history and trends that shaped Western Civilization, including the Protestant Reformation and the life of church reformer Martin Luther in the 16th century. By her mid-semester break, Annie is on a plane to Wittenberg in Germany to help Martin Luther's descendants who were victims of theft-of family heirloom jewelry and personal letters of historic significance between Martin Luther and his wife Katharina von Bora. The original documents of Luther's German Bible translation had never been found. Hoping the secret letters hold the key to the ancient documents, Annie, Uncle Will, and Aunt Vivi search the secret letters and follow the coded clues they find. Annie learns lessons of Love and Trust from how Martin Luther and his young wife loved and trusted each other and God while coping with dramatic changes during a time of church upheaval that led to the Reformation and proclaiming of God's biblical truths. It is a fun, entertaining, and educational book, filled with riddles, puzzles, and mysteries to be solved in this new adventure as Annie discovers the Miracle of Trust.
