For years, Joseph J Kozma had shared his profession (medicine) with his avocation (writing with emphasis on poetry). This volume is a testament: Poetry is winning. Kozma now is full time poet, novelist, essayist and lecturer. Recently he was appointed Poet Laureate of Jacksonville, Illinois. Kozma is a tireless advocate of poetry. He produces a yearly Poetry Variety Show (now in its eighth year) devoted to the various forms of poems, and their impact upon everyday life. His poems and essays are in local and national distribution. Rainbow in the Dark, does not have sub-chapters in order to avoid thematic approach to the art of poetry. A poet can and should notice and observe everything around him. A poet is an artist not a copywriter. With this in mind the present volume is dedicated to all who have the art of poetry in their heart, and those who have a "ready heart."
