Opis

Therese is a bawdy Parisian actress in her seventies enjoying an energetic affair with a young deserter from the Foreign Legion. Disaster strikes when she is held for questioning following the murder of a local barman. The end of the world is not pure invention. Like all Cendrars's works it has some basis in his adventures and nomadic life; but this roman-a-clef is an original and very funny portrayal of the Paris of the late 1940s and is very much the product of an abundant imagination.
