4 AM Housekeeper

"e;Arrive at exactly 4:00 AM. Finish before sunrise. And never ask why every room smells like freshly scrubbed bleach."e;Those were the strict conditions given by billionaire Julian Croft when he hired me to clean his ultra-luxury triplex penthouse atop the Obsidian Tower in downtown Boston. For five thousand dollars a week in cash, all I had to do was deep-clean two thousand square feet of black marble while the city slept. For a mother whose six-year-old daughter was fighting for her life on a hospital transplant list, it was a lifeline I couldn't afford to refuse. Then I found the first drop of blood.Tucked beneath the kitchen kickplates, partially masked by commercial bleach. Inside the second-floor laundry chute, I found a diamond tennis bracelet belonging to an SEC auditor who vanished from this very building three weeks ago.And at the end of the dark second-floor gallery stands a soundproof room locked with a biometric keypad—where desperate, muffled gasps can be heard in the dead of night.Julian tells me it's just his grieving wife recovering from illness. But when I piece together the shredded court subpoenas in his office, I realize a horrifying truth: the missing woman never left this penthouse. Now the storm has trapped me sixty-four stories above the city. The sun is thirty minutes away from rising, Julian is watching me through the panoramic glass with a loaded weapon, and the penthouse doors have just locked from the outside. He thinks I'm just a desperate cleaner trapped in his web. But he doesn't know who I really am—or why I truly took this job...***An utterly unputdownable, pulse-pounding domestic thriller packed with paranoia, high-society corruption, and a shocking sequence of twists that will leave you breathless until the final page. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Lucy Foley, and Colleen Hoover.
