Black Blood and Stone

The tattooed Drachen Warriors are a group of savage and cruel heathens, and the legend of a buried 'enemy to all mankind' is a lie-or so the Dragon Priests of Faith would have people believe. As a young child, Ravyn was mistaken for a thief and suffered horrendous injuries under the guise of punishment by these overzealous priests. Now, as a young woman, Ravyn lives with the aftermath of that trauma every day. Despite her anxieties, she focuses on her dream of becoming the first female regent in Koda. Unfortunately, much to her father's chagrin, her close relationship with the Drachen means she would rather watch soldiers and the warriors than concentrate of being the 'Heir Mother of Future Regents'.After witnessing a skirmish with the orcan, Ravyn picks up a discarded bloody helm, and an innocent touch of black blood tears her world apart. While she tries to find her place in a new reality, and the warriors deal with accusations based on lies, the 'enemy of all mankind' is stirring. The battle the Dragon Gods forewarned is quickly approaching. Will the Drachen be ready? Will Ravyn?
