For 649 patients who actively incorporated DDW into their treatment protocol, the median survival time (MST) was 12.4 years. Compare that to the control demographic for the general cancer population in Hungary dealing with the exact same types of cancers but utilizing only conventional therapies without DDW: the median survival time is 2.4 years. That is a five-fold increase in median survival—a full extra decade of life—simply by changing the isotopic composition of the water a patient drinks every day. It sounds unbelievable, which is exactly why the research team has been careful to build a rigorous, bulletproof defense of their data.Knowing skeptics will immediately dismiss retrospective observational data as mere coincidence, the team highlights the clinical trials they conducted. Dr. Somlyai's team carried out the first and only prospective randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in the history of DDW research, specifically targeting prostate cancer—the absolute gold standard of medical evidence. They took 44 patients with prostate cancer; half received standard tap water as a placebo, and half received strictly calibrated deuterium-depleted water, with neither the doctors nor the patients knowing who received which. Over the course of the trial, they carefully measured the net volume of the prostate tumors. In the placebo group drinking regular water, tumors decreased by an average of 54.0 cubic centimeters, likely due to their concurrent conventional therapies. However, in the group drinking DDW, tumors decreased by a massive 160.3 cubic centimeters—the tumors shrank three times as fast simply by depriving the body of this heavy isotope.
