Government public relations and countering rumors

If rumors are being spread in Egypt against the government and some state institutions, and against the decisions they issue, the positions they take, and the procedures they implement, then there is an important role for government departments and organizations about which the rumors are spread and against which they are directed, by quickly responding, disseminating information, providing it, clarifying the facts, and responding to the rumor in a timely manner in order to limit its circulation and stop its spread. This is done through public relations and media departments, using their own means with modern media to respond to the rumor, refute it, and prevent its spread in society. Whether this is done through the rapid response of the public relations departments of these organizations, government departments and agencies, or by publishing a statement on their websites, or through the official spokesperson assigned by the institutions or organizations to this task and respond to all the rumors and lies and statements launched by malicious forces in all fields and on all matters of life and living to cause public anxiety and stir up confusion and doubt in them, this important role is considered one of the recent roles in government institutions, which these entities resorted to after the increase in changes in society and the reactions they caused, or the response of government entities through the official statement and the official spokesperson, that statement issued by the entity and prepared and written by the public relations department, or that this task is undertaken by one of the specialists in the field with the characteristics, specialization, information, specifications and capabilities available to him (as will be mentioned) to clarify the urgent matters about which the rumor was launched, and to shed light on them, and to deny them, and to clarify the facts and information issued from them, and to refute them by clarifying them and spreading the truth.
