What if gravity does not begin with attraction? What if it does not even begin with curvature? What if gravity appears only after something deeper has already happened? In Gravity — A Consequence of Gradient, Sandeep Chavan reopens one of physics' oldest questions by moving one conceptual layer beneath the familiar descriptions of gravitational phenomena.Newton revealed the universality of gravity. Einstein transformed gravity into geometry. This book asks whether the inquiry can be pushed further: what physical condition gives rise to the non-uniform geometry from which gravitational behaviour becomes manifest? The proposed framework begins with Structured Vacuum Energy — SVE, treated as a continuous underlying physical substrate rather than empty space. Within this field, a persistent manifestation maintains differentiation from its surroundings. Continuity expresses that difference through a transitional gradient. When another persistent configuration participates in this non-uniform geometry, a relational Delta arises, resolution occurs, and a consequence becomes physically manifest.Gravity therefore appears late in the architecture. The central proposition is:Gravity is not an independent force acting between objects. It is a consequential manifestation of resolution within a persistent SVE gradient. From this starting point, the book develops a broader interpretation of gravity, motion, time, light, and the observer.Alignment Threshold Time — ATT is introduced not as ordinary flowing time but as the threshold structure required for a viable local resolution. Measured and experienced time is then reconsidered as accumulated consequential history across successive resolutions.Motion is likewise relocated. Instead of assuming that an independently existing object simply carries itself continuously from one position to another, the book investigates whether observed motion can emerge from consequentially connected successive manifestations.Light enters through another distinction: the field may carry a ripple-resolution history independently of observation, while light becomes manifest when that consequential history resolves at an observer or detector boundary. The observer therefore does not create physical reality. The observer participates in determining what becomes accessible from a particular relational boundary.Throughout the book, several distinctions remain central:Gradient is not gravity. ATT is not time. Ripple is not light. Sequential resolution is not motion. Observer dependence is not observer-created reality. This is deliberately a pre-equation theoretical work. It does not claim to replace Newtonian gravity, general relativity, quantum theory, or established experimental physics. Instead, it develops the ontology that any later mathematical formulation would need to formalize, test, and expose to possible falsification.Gravity — A Consequence of Gradient is therefore not an attempt to rename familiar physics. It asks a more foundational question:Before we call it gravity, what must already be there?
