Two middle-aged seamstress sisters who live in Bogota, Colombia tell a young client about their mother's unresolved disappearance. This sends this young woman on a search for details, and in that path several other women find themselves involved and bringing up details past and present, of their lives that involve love, loss, hope and friendship. Born from a mix of fiction and fact, the lives of these women from three different generations show resilience and hope. They survive in the midst of a whole lot of work, love, while raising children and coping in a society and with men who often do not understand or support their struggles. The solutions are not always the best but through the story these women maintain the desire to stay strong and celebrate with joy.
