The Roaring Twenties: everybody who's anybody is heading to Europe. Hollywood stars, oil tycoons, tennis champs, wealthy patrons of the arts, but also political rabblerousers, celebrity spiritualists and jazz musicians. Recently widowed, Rose Melbourne is like most of them – she longs to spend her large inheritance on haute couture dresses and finely crafted baubles.
