Summoning Magic

Pax Briarkut comes from a long line of demons known for making deals with humans. He would much rather stay home with his plants. While other demons chase power and prestige, Pax has built a quieter life for himself — one filled with enchanted soil, overgrown greenhouses, and the comforting predictability of stubborn ferns. Unfortunately, he gets dragged into the human realm… and directly back into the life of Griffin Collins, a human Pax had been hoping to avoid for several more decades. Now Pax must decide whether to retreat into the safety of the life he's carefully cultivated… or risk making room for something he thought he'd already left behind. Summoning Magic is a cozy low-stakes fantasy short about enchanted greenhouses, old friendships, quiet growth, and the frightening possibility that some lives are better when shared.
