Tea & Treason

Two women. One tea shop. A quiet town where anyone can start again.Rowan Voss was a knight of the King's own guard—until the court she served decided she knew too much. Elspeth was the King's star-charter, a mage who could read the sky—until that same court tried to silence her.Now they have both run north, to a little town called Mistsend, wrapped in fog so constant that half the maps forget to draw it. There, in a leaking house by the river, they do the most dangerous thing either of them has ever attempted: they open a tea shop. There is tea to brew and books to shelve. There is a town of wary neighbors to win over, one cup at a time. There are children to teach, a lonely blacksmith who needs company, and the small, slow business of building a life from nothing. And there is the feeling—slow, warm, and entirely unexpected—that the two of them are no longer running from something, but toward it.Tea & Treason is a cozy fantasy of found family, second chances, and the quiet courage of loving someone in a world that would rather you didn't. Perfect for readers of Legends & Lattes and Can't Spell Treason Without Tea, it is the first book in the Tales of Mistsend series.
