Reading is the gateway through which every seeker of knowledge enters, and the means by which a person transcends the barriers of time and space. Through it, one draws upon the ideas and sciences of the ancients, and becomes acquainted with the civilizations and cultures of peoples. It is the student's primary means of seeking knowledge and study, and a means of enrichment, entertainment, and enjoyment of the works produced by writers and thinkers. Given the importance of reading to the individual and society, issues of its teaching have received considerable attention in all international societies. There is no human society that does not strive to teach its young people to read and eradicate illiteracy among those who have not learned it. One of the effects of this attention has been the tremendous development in knowledge about reading, its processes, strategies, and methods of teaching it. Based on what studies have proven and what literature has produced in the field of reading education, this book, "e;Teaching Reading: Its Foundations and Techniques,"e; includes three chapters. The first chapter is entitled: "e;Reading Processes and Learning Strategies,"e; the second chapter is entitled: "e;Teaching Reading to Beginners,"e; and the third chapter is entitled: "e;Teaching Reading to Non-Beginners."e; And so, this is a sincere effort through which we have tried to enrich the Arabic library with the topics covered in this book, which we believe will benefit all those concerned with teaching reading across the stages of general education, as well as researchers in the field of teaching Arabic, and languages ??in general. It is a work that I consider to be for the sake of God, and I hope that it will be a good building block in the construction of educational knowledge.
