They Called Him Sunny

Sunny survived the Gulf with eleven stitches in the back of his head and no memory of who he was.For a year, he has stood on a wall outside a coffee shop in St. Petersburg, Florida. He can hear when the coffee grinder is set wrong. He cannot remember his mother's name. A nurse gave him the nickname everyone uses. The three dollars in his pocket are more than he is willing to spend.Angie is forty-one, nine credits short of a degree, and struggling to keep up with rent and her car payment. She has enough problems of her own. But after pressing three dollars into Sunny's hand, she keeps coming back.Determined to find out who he is, Angie searches for answers and grows closer to a man whose past neither of them knows. Helping him also means confronting the man she let into her own home. Before the water, Sunny was a husband, a father of two, and a Maryland lottery winner with an $850 million jackpot. Then one icy December night took everything his money could not protect.
