A mysterious and compelling circumstance forces three women to live in an apartment on the banks of the Nile in Luxor. Each woman's secret is a source of hardship, compelling them to coexist and try to escape their predicaments. Habiba, a pediatrician immersed in her work between clinics and children's hospitals, finds herself drawn to historical sites, the most unusual of which is Pierre Loti Hill in Istanbul. There, a story begins that will only end with her visit to the hill and its namesake. Sherry, an engineer and university professor, finds herself caught between the pressures and conflicts of her work and her controversial, feminine personality in a world governed by logic and reason. She finds solace and balance only in studying hypnotherapy, alongside engaging in shamanic rituals with tribes in the farthest reaches of the earth. Mahra, the history researcher, who lived up to her name, runs briskly between libraries and research centers to search for the origins of horses, and passionately flips through history books to refute al-Jabarti's fabrications about her grandfather, Sheikh al-Islam, the Sufi pole. She finds refuge in Luxor, where the local horses stir up dust with their strong legs, and shine in the rituals of the Sufi Mawlids held for the righteous saints.
