Resolving such a challenge will need a joint effort from the dental profession and society, since traditional Prosthodontic strategies for managing such a problem would seem to be both unattainable and inappropriate at the population level. In light of current knowledge, this text attempts to sketch the developments in Prosthodontics and its treatment areas.
