One final delivery was supposed to buy Sebastian Reed the rest of his life.

After more than a year hauling freight from Luna to Callisto, the exhausted pilot accepts a twenty-hour side job to Europa. Then an ice plume knocks his aging cargo ship from the sky and sends him crashing through the moon's frozen surface.

Pulled from certain death by the crew of the submarine Prometheus, Sebastian discovers a civilization built beneath the ice-one held together by aging machinery, improvised repairs, and people too stubborn to drown.

With no access to his money and no easy route home, he accepts a place among the crew. What begins as reluctant work soon becomes something dangerously close to belonging.

Then a parasite gets aboard.

As sabotage, rebellion, and a federal manhunt close around the Prometheus, Sebastian is dragged into a conflict he barely understands. Stranded with First Mate Talia Rhodes and an unpredictable fugitive from Earth, he must descend through an alien ocean filled with hostile life, abandoned stations, and the wreckage of those who ventured too deep.
