Stalking is a relatively new crime in terms of law in the United States. Much of the population still considers it a crime that affects the rich and famous. As more recent studies have shown, it affects a substantial portion of the population, especially for young adults. This raises questions regarding whether or not they would recognize the crime and how it effects their reporting behavior.
