What if the man everyone thought was crazy was actually trying to solve one of humanity's biggest problems?
DASCOST - NO MASK is the extraordinary true story of Costin Dascălu, a Romanian inventor, author and independent music artist whose life moved between patents, viral social media, night work, secret experiments and an obsession: creating rain where water is scarce.
Born in Craiova, Romania, and later living in Frankfurt, Dascălu became known online as "The World's Best Uber Party Disco Premium Driver," while behind the entertainment he was developing inventions and filing technical documents.
His earlier German vehicle-seat invention appears under DE 20 2017 005 615 U1, with the associated application DE 10 2017 010 075.6. Years later came DASCOST - DAScălu COStin Technology, an atmospheric-barrier concept intended to influence humid air movement and precipitation.
The book follows his firsthand account of experiments carried out away from conventional laboratories, including the mysterious Riedwiesen nights, an improvised outdoor laboratory, fire, secrecy, the alleged HCD discovery, and his decision to keep parts of his work only in his memory.
It also follows his international patent journey, including PCT/IB2025/000547, AU 2026201766, and USPTO Application No. 19/639,425, alongside his attempts to bring the DASCOST project to Oman.
Music became another weapon in the story: NO MASK, DASCOST INDESTRUCTIBLE, Names Alive Souls Dead, NAZIonal IS BAD, STAY STRONG and HELLO MY BOSS transformed frustration, resistance and ambition into sound.
This is not a conventional biography.
