It also served as the occasion for the new German edition of Copernicus's complete works, the "Nicolaus-Copernicus-Gesamtausgabe". Founded by Heribert M. Nobis, it has been supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and, since 2013, published by De Gruyter Oldenbourg (Berlin, München, Boston). The publication of Vol. IV in 2019 completes the Copernicus Edition.
