Penthia is leading the Protectorate forces to take back enemy held planets and wields water like a weapon against the corrupted: parasitic shadows that consume entire worlds. But her greatest battle isn't against the enemy. It's against the doubt that whispers she'll fail them all.

Beside her fights Felidae, armor-clad and fierce, the last of a race Penthia swore to restore. It's a promise that grows heavier with each planet they reclaim together and each failed attempt to resurrect her species.

With the ever-evolving hive mind of the corrupted, Penthia has to react to every strategy they attempt. But will that be enough to win the war? Or are they simply holding off the inevitable tide of enemies?

The corrupted leader can create portals of their own, hopping short distances in seconds. Penthia can't be in lots of places at once and can no longer keep everyone around her safe. Will her team hold up to such a vicious onslaught?
