Ebenezer

Before the ghosts. Before the redemption. There was a boy named Ebenezer Scrooge.

Long before he became literature's most infamous miser, Ebenezer Scrooge was a lonely boy growing up in the unforgiving streets of London. Surrounded by poverty, loss, and broken promises, he learned a painful lesson: money offered security where love could not.

But Ebenezer was not always a man without compassion.

There was a devoted sister who believed in him. A generous employer who showed him the joy of living. And a young woman whose love offered the promise of a different future.

Yet every opportunity for happiness came with a choice.

As ambition hardened into obsession and success came at the expense of human connection, the boy who once longed for love became a man who trusted only the figures in his ledger.

What happened to Ebenezer Scrooge before that fateful Christmas Eve?
