Electronic Materials

Electronic materials, a class of advanced materials, are designed and developed to get fascinating electrical, electronic and related properties for device applications. The dynamics of electrons and their interaction with atoms and molecules are strongly responsible for the electrical response of the materials. Nowadays, a large number of electronic materials are explored and developed for electronic and other devices. This book broadly covers the introduction of electronic and related materials, and their classification, crystal structure, molecular structure, electronic structure, processing, characterization and device applications. The current status of research on some new materials such as nanomaterials, smart materials, multiferroics, composites, waste materials, etc., and their industrial applications have also been included in this book. As the processing techniques and external experimental conditions are the key factors in tailoring the structural and physical properties of the materials, various fabrication techniques have been discussed. The basic principle and working of different characterization techniques have also been incorporated with appropriate examples.
