Faithful Membership

Prayers. Presence. Gifts. Service. Witness.

For United Methodists, these five vows are the heart of our covenant with God and the church. We speak them aloud when we join, but what does it truly mean to live them faithfully day after day?

In Faithful Membership, Rogemer Nario Sison offers a heartfelt and practical guide to moving these sacred promises from words spoken at the altar to a lived reality. This book bridges the gap between professing our vows and practicing them in the messy, beautiful, and challenging world we inhabit.

With pastoral wisdom and personal insight, Sison unpacks each of the five vows, exploring:

• Prayers: Moving beyond a routine to cultivate a deep, conversational relationship with God.
• Presence: The radical act of being fully present in worship, in fellowship, and in community.
• Gifts: Discovering and offering our God-given talents, time, and resources with joy.
• Service: Answering the call to be the hands and feet of Christ in a world that is hurting.
• Witness: Sharing our faith story with authenticity and integrity, both in word and deed.

Whether you are a new member, a confirmation student, or a lifelong Methodist seeking spiritual renewal, Faithful Membership is an essential companion. It will challenge you, encourage you, and equip you to fully embrace your calling as a vital part of the body of Christ.

Discover what it means to not just be a member, but to live as a faithful one.
