God, Have You Seen Mama?

A rather rambunctious young prayer warrior bombards heaven with requests for God to pass along to their mama. To read a story, to help find their shoe, to put in a good word with the tooth fairy, all things the child wishes they could still do with their mama were she not home in heaven. The continuous requests finally come to a stop once the child remembers something very important: while their mama is not physically there, she is forever present within them.

These seemingly simple prayer requests are not so in the eyes of a child who is missing opportunities with their mother. God, Have You Seen Mama? by Kim Gatewood provides a beautifully unique way to help children and adults deal with that loss, assuring them that their mother is always with them and that God is taking care of her until they can see her again.

Kim Gatewood is a military retiree with twenty-eight years of service. She has also served as the executive pastor of Bethesda Fellowship Ministries for over fifteen years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and in chemistry as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Regent University.
