Haven's Tide

HAVEN'S TIDE

A Novel by Eric Ellert

New York City is gone.

Fourteen-year-old Haven has survived a detention camp, a collapsing world, and a journey across a country she barely recognizes. With her thirteen-year-old brother Quinn beside her, she believes she has finally found safety with their grandparents.

But safety is an illusion.

Beyond the quiet roads and forests lies a world that has changed in ways no one understands.

Animals are no longer simply animals.

A mysterious fox watches from the trees. Trees seem to move and think. Strange creatures speak, fight, form kingdoms-and remember things humans have forgotten.

Then Quinn disappears into a frozen wilderness.

The search for him leads toward a New York City buried beneath snow and ice, where abandoned streets have become the hunting grounds of Snowdragons, Yetis, and other intelligent creatures.

The city Haven once knew is now a dangerous kingdom of ruins, secrets, and creatures who have their own plans for the future.

To save her brother, Haven must venture into a world where humanity is no longer in control-and where the creatures mankind once ruled may decide whether it deserves to survive.

The world has ended. But something else has awakened.
