When Little Bee is born, there are so many things he doesn't know about, and he has lots and lots of questions. His mother is always there for him and answers as many as she can. One day, she takes Little Bee and all his brothers and sisters to an old oak tree, where they make their new hive. Suddenly, Little Bee can learn all about new things by himself! Anne Unsworth spent thirty-five years teaching in primary schools in the Oldham and Rochdale areas. In 2007 she retired at deputy headteacher of SS Aidan and Oswald's School. She continues to work as a supply teacher, sharing her love of books and encouraging people to write for fun.
