From Adam to Jesus was approximately 4,000 years, and from Jesus to right now is a little over 2,000 years. Together that comes to a little over 6,000 years. Accord-ing to the events accruing in the world today, we are living in the last day, not the last days. In other words, the last 1,000 years. So when you take into account the fact that 1,000 man years equal one day, not only to God, but also to anyone living in the spiritual realm, it means that mankind has entered into the day in which the Lord will return. In other words, we have entered the seventh day. Seven days is not what mankind would call a long time, but it does meet the criteria to be viewed as a short time as mentioned in Revelation 12:12. As far as man is concerned, by our time, the devil has been in this world for a little over 6,000 years; not exactly what we would call a short time by man's standard.
