Der Pfarrberuf ist im Wandel begriffen - seine Kontexte ändern sich ebenso wie die Wahrnehmung des Berufs durch diejenigen, die ihn ausüben, nicht minder zudem die Spielregeln des Theologie-Treibens an der Universität. Dies fordert auch die theologische Bildung in Studium, Vikariat und Fortbildung heraus. Eine Konsultation mit zahlreichen Teilnehmenden aus Universität wie Kirche hat auf Einladung des Evangelisch-Theologischen Fakultätentages (E-TFT), der Wissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft für Theologie (WGTh) und der gemischten Ausbildungsreformgremien in Geschäftsführung der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland (EKD) im Mai 2019 Problemkreise und Lösungsansätze diskutiert. Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert die Beiträge und bietet so einen dichten Einblick in die Reform theologischer Bildung mit dem Fokus auf Bildung für den Pfarrberuf. [How to Become and to Be a Pastor - Challenges for Theological Education and Church Ministry] Ministry in German Protestant churches has been undergoing strong changes for years - these changes are due to religious demographic developments as well as caused by new perceptions of ministry by those who are going to work as pastors. Last but not least, academic teaching and research in the field of theology is concerned with e.g. the so-called Bologna reforms, digitalization and a strong call for third-party funded engagement. All these changes turn out to challenge theological formation in all three realms: at the level of academic study, apprenticeship in church and further education. In May 2019, the assembly of theological faculties in Germany (Evangelisch-theologischer Fakultätentag ETFT) has convened a conference, supported by both the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and the Scientific Society for Theology (WGTh), which aimed at identifying the most urgent tasks ahead and options for further development of theological education. This text book presents most of the contributions and helps to better understand and foster the German reform discourse on protestant ministry.
