How do theories, methods, and scholarly practices shape major research projects currently underway in American Studies? In twenty original essays, the contributors to 'Projecting American Studies' interrogate their ongoing work in various interdisciplinary contexts, shedding light on contemporary Americanist practices, styles, and publics.
