More often than not, people inflict sever corporal punishment/physical abuse/ on children for the purpose of correction or control. It is most common and widespread form of violence against children in most countries, including Ethiopia. Physical abuse impedes children all over "normal" development. Research results by different scholars at different time divulged the adverse effect of sever physical punishment/physical abuse. The purpose of this book, consequently, is also to highlight some of the psychological problems/effects of physical abuse on children in North West Ethiopia where physical punishment is very common panorama.
