John has spent his life fixing things.

Roads. Machines. Businesses. Other people's problems.

But as his fiftieth birthday approaches, the things he cannot fix are becoming impossible to ignore: a failed business, a strained marriage, an aging father, and the uncomfortable suspicion that the life he worked so hard to build has somehow passed him by.
