Seeking Jesus First

This book began with a simple desire: that I may know Him.
Not merely to know about Him. Not to gather more information or to master a system. To know Jesus - intimately, personally, and daily - through the Holy Spirit. That desire is the heartbeat of every page that follows.
Seeking Jesus First is an invitation to make that pursuit the first priority of each day. Before the list, before the news, before the demands of the moment, there is one aim: seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When we do, everything else finds its proper place.
These devotionals are written for ordinary people who want to walk with Jesus. They are short enough to read in a few quiet minutes, yet deep enough to open the heart to the living Word. Each one follows the same pattern: a Scripture, a reflection that draws you into the presence of Christ, a practical application for the day, and a prayer that keeps the conversation open.
The weeks are arranged around themes that have shaped my own walk - knowing Him, living by the Word and the Spirit, understanding who we are in Christ, seeking the kingdom, walking in faith, growing as sons and daughters, hearing the Word, using the keys of the kingdom, extending mercy, aligning the mouth with the heart, resting in our High Priest, sowing and reaping, and living as trained sons who receive full supply. These are not academic topics. They are the realities of kingdom life.
You do not need to be a scholar to receive from these pages. You need a heart that is willing to seek. The Holy Spirit is the One who makes the written Word living and active. He is the One who opens the eyes, softens the soil, and causes the seed to grow. Come expecting Him to meet you.
Read slowly. Pause where the Spirit highlights a phrase. Speak the truths aloud. Let the prayers become your own. Do not rush to finish. The goal is not to complete a book. The goal is to know Jesus more.
May these pages help you seek Him first. May the Holy Spirit make Christ real to your heart. May you discover, day by day, that knowing Him is the aim that reorders everything else.
He is worthy of first place.
