Mackie Draper has wanted to be a race car driver since he first saw Noah Fletcher compete when he was a kid. He never expected to become a driver for Noah himself at the prestigious Starfire Racing, nor did he expect to fall in love with his boss, but here he is. Having lost his partner when he was young, he promised he would never take life for granted again, but a chance encounter with an up-and-coming race team in Pine Valley reminds him of this vow. When his past and present collide, Conan does his best to fight for a heart he doesn't own with one that remains broken.
