STORMING COBRA

Marcus "Hoss" Cartwright expects another routine assignment at a federal training facility. Instead, he finds himself on the front line of a terrorist attack on American soil.

In STORMING COBRA, Marcus, a retired police officer, is working as an instructor at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama. His team is made up of fellow retired law-enforcement professionals with decades of police and military experience between them. Among them is Carla Reynolds, a beautiful new instructor who catches Marcus's attention as she settles into her new role.

But while Marcus and his colleagues go about their work, Russian terrorists are moving into position. Their mission is as audacious as it is deadly: steal a shipment of Sarin and VX nerve agents being transported to the facility-and use part of it in an attack on the College Football Championship in Tuscaloosa.

When a rare Alabama blizzard descends on the region, the terrorists strike. Marcus, Carla, their fellow instructors, and the facility's security officers suddenly find themselves fighting for their lives on a snow-covered mountainside. Outnumbered, freezing, and wounded, they must keep the attackers from reaching the nerve agents while desperately waiting for military reinforcements.

As the Pentagon mobilizes Special Operations forces and Army Rangers, Black Hawks, Chinooks, and fighter jets converge on Northern Alabama, the crisis escalates into an unprecedented battle on American soil.

Drawing on author Scott H. Johnson's extensive law-enforcement and tactical-training experience, STORMING COBRA brings police SWAT and military Special Operations together in a fast-paced thriller of terrorism, courage, and survival.
