The Boatswain Initiative

Billionaire entrepreneur Vastiana Boatswain appears to have everything power and success could offer, but she wants more. When she takes up with the mysterious killer Robert Long Arrow, a.k.a. Atasaya, counter-terrorism agent Angela Bayard is sent undercover to infiltrate Boatswain's operation.

Posing as a temp named Carla Verdugo, Angie works her way through the ranks of Boatswain's Seattle headquarters and learns of a covert expedition to search for gold in the New Mexico desert. Convinced that Boatswain's ambitions go far beyond buried treasure, Angie finagles her way onto the expedition team, determined to discover what the billionaire is really seeking─and why she needs Atasaya to find it.

But New Mexico brings dangers Angie never anticipated. As the expedition pushes deeper into the desert, she is plagued by strange dreams and encounters wild creatures drawn from Native American folklore. The line between legend and reality begins to blur, while the people around her prove every bit as dangerous as the unforgiving landscape.

With her cover increasingly at risk and Boatswain closing in on her true objective, Angie must uncover what lies hidden in the desert before someone discovers what she is really doing there.
