A runaway comet. A falling space station. And a crew of kids who are the only hope left.
When a comet sweeps far too close to Space Station Oberon, the impact knocks out communication and traps the adults on one side of the station and the kids on the other. Worse, the collision has knocked the space station out of orbit. Oberon is plunging toward the planet Gyris and it will burn up in the atmosphere long before help can arrive.
Locked out of the main flight deck and stuck in detention, Hal Junior isn't one to sit back and wait. Teaming up with a crew of classmates--a video game ace, a math genius, and a resourceful engineer--Hal hatches a wild plan to power up a decommissioned cargo ship and push the entire space station back into safe orbit.
With failing thrusters, zero pilot training, and the clock ticking down to re-entry, can a group of kids do what the adults can't--or will they go down with the ship?
Hits the sweet spot for 9-12 year olds: fast-paced, empowering, technically engaging, and deeply fun.
