The First 30 Days After Closing

A week-by-week plan for the first 30 days after you buy a house: turn the power and water on, find the shutoffs, and wait until week four to talk about remodel.

You already closed. The keys are in your hand. The house was purchased, not inherited. You are not shopping for a mortgage and you are not listing anything. Week one is utilities, mail, locks, and "what is that smell," not a kitchen gut.
