At Hoshimi Town's sakura bloom festival, an ordinary celebration of spring turns into a reality-breaking catastrophe when the sky darkens with an unpredicted eclipse and the town's revered cherry tree transforms from pink blossoms into ink-black petals that fall like lethal, reality-slicing fragments, triggering panic and destruction as people are injured by contact with them; amid the chaos, Aoi witnesses an impossible, shifting figure beneath the tree that seems to observe her with deliberate recognition before the world abruptly "resets," restoring the festival and town to an apparently normal state where all records of the event-and even Aoi's existence in the previous year-are missing or altered.
