The Island That Wasn't There

They can see the island. The maps say it isn't there.

When Zara Whitlock spots an island through the mist off the coast of Moorhaven, there's only one problem: according to everyone else, there is nothing there.

Her parents can't see it. Modern maps show open water. Even the locals seem strangely unwilling to talk about what lies beyond the harbour.

But Zara, her younger sister Cerys, map-obsessed Kian and local boy Luca know what they saw. Then they discover an old map. On it, exactly where the sea should be empty, is an island with a lighthouse - and a name someone has deliberately scratched out.

Their search for answers leads to abandoned buildings, sealed underground rooms, forgotten wartime records and evidence that somebody is still visiting the island today. Someone who may be looking for something that was never meant to be found.

But Saint Aldwyn has dangers of its own. The tides change quickly. Old passages are beginning to collapse. And one warning has survived long after almost everything else was erased:
