The Older Children's Bible

"The Older Children's Bible" is a thoughtfully curated selection of scriptural texts designed to bridge the gap between simplified Bible stories for young children and the full canonical text. Compiled by noted scholars Alexander Nairne, Arthur Quiller-Couch, and T. R. Glover, this volume presents the beauty and narrative power of the Bible in a format that respects the intellectual and spiritual development of older youth.

The work focuses on the most significant passages of both the Old and New Testaments, preserving the majestic language of the authorized version while organizing the content into logical thematic sections. By emphasizing the literary quality and moral depth of the scriptures, the editors provide a foundational understanding of the Christian faith and the historical importance of the biblical narrative. This collection serves as an excellent resource for families, educators, and young readers seeking to engage with the Bible's enduring wisdom and poetry. Through its careful selection of stories, parables, and teachings, "The Older Children's Bible" remains a classic tool for introducing the core values and historical context of sacred scripture to the next generation.
