In 1859, a grief-stricken miner returns to Denver with an ancient book of dark spells and a heart full of vengeance. After losing his wife, his child, and everything he once believed in, he performs a wicked ritual meant to drag the town into the eternal pit. More than a century later, fifteen-year-old Theo Ambrose enters The Ritual Haunted House with his friends Cassie and Jax, expecting jump scares, fake blood, and cheap Halloween thrills. Instead, the attraction becomes impossibly real. The swamp breathes. The monsters know his name. A leather-bound book whispers secrets meant only for him. And somewhere beyond the walls, an ancient evil waits to finish what began in old Denver.

As Theo and his friends are pulled deeper into a nightmare of witches, cannibals, beasts, and lost souls, they discover The Ritual was never built to scare people. It was built to find him.

To escape, Theo must uncover the truth of the Book of Magiks, learn why he has been chosen, and refuse the one thing the beast needs most: his true name.

But the ritual has already begun, and not everyone who enters the haunted house is meant to leave.
