The Rustbound Covenant

In the fog-choked, resource-scarce coastal town of Eureka, California, survival is a daily, brutal calculation. Elias Thorne, a pragmatic blacksmith, keeps his head down and his forge hot, knowing that drawing attention is a death sentence. But when the town's most vulnerable citizens begin vanishing into the freezing coastal wilderness, the official narrative of wild animal attacks no longer holds.
Driven by a quiet sense of duty, Elias uncovers a rusted, distinctive manacle in the woods-a grim artifact that points to a conspiracy far darker than simple misfortune. Teaming with Clara, a determined herbalist searching for her missing brother, and Arthur, an elderly archivist guarding the town's suppressed history, Elias pieces together a terrifying truth. The corrupt magistrate, Silas Mercer, is systematically sacrificing the town's people to fuel a hidden, desperate ritual that secures his own iron grip on the region.
The Rustbound Covenant is a gripping, standalone narrative that strips away the glamour of traditional magic, replacing it with tangible danger, moral ambiguity, and raw survival. As Elias prepares to confront a power that controls the very food and firewood the town needs, he must decide how much of his own soul he is willing to sacrifice. In The Rustbound Covenant, trust is a liability, and every alliance is forged in blood and rust.
