The Study of language in the Oscar Cinematic Discourse

Is it possible to enter language in the cinematic genre to analyze the compatibility of the actors' dialogues and monologues with the roles they play? It is possible to apply a method through which the movie directors improve the quality of the actors' dialogues? Furthermore, is it possible to analyze the characteristics of the actors through the language they use in the dialogues and monologues? The present book aims at scrutinizing Nader and Simin's dialogues in the movie "A Separation" from the perspective of metafunctions of language to see first what information can be achieved from this analysis, and second what similarities and differences there are between Nader and Simin's dialogues? This book, therefore, provides a new method for those who are engaged in the field of cinema and language; including movie directors, actors, teachers, translators, and students. In other words,the analysis should help shed some light on the cinematic genre with the application of language, and open a new window to the world of discourse analysis in this genre.
