Vesper

I should be terrified of him...of both of them, honestly. Oryx, with his horns and claws and the tongue that seems to know my thoughts better than I do. And Veylor, the brooding lich who can level a room with a flick of his fingers and still looks at me like I'm the dangerous one.

Somewhere between the blood, the nightmares, and the constant threat of being eaten alive, I found something I didn't know I was missing-affection. Real, bone-deep, suffocating affection. Oryx clings to me like I'm the only light he's ever known, and maybe I am. And Veylor... well, he fights his feelings with all the grace of a wounded cat. Which perhaps that's better... except I can't help but feel the pull to him like I do with Oryx.
